#tridotvisual #graphicrecording

This post is outcome of #sketchaday challenge. As I was drawing each day and posting it on my Facebook and Instagram account, likes from viewers were stimulus. My confident was building up, I started looking for groups where I could post, get critical appreciation and learn as well. That’s when I stumbled upon IFVP, a community of graphic facilitators and graphic recorder.

When I posted a few of my sketches there, I got appreciation and made a few friends but got a notice from admin that drawings done during graphic recording or facilitation can be put here.

On further pondering I came to understand that graphic recording is live drawing of a talk or a meeting or discussion to interpret same thru visuals or metaphors. In meanwhile I met Chitra Chandrashekhar who is a graphic recorder.

To gather we did 1st gig and then I took upon myself to create opportunities within/outside my organisation to practice this craft.

So far I have done graphic recording during conferences, TEDx events, Offsite meets and enjoyed their power of recall of talks. Made new friends across globe and went all the way to Germany to learn craft from masters.

Enjoy a few of the gigs.

#Sketchaday

It has been more than two years since I took up drawing a bit more seriously. Early 2017 I took up on myself to sketch each day for 100 days. It was easier said than done, you got to have a theme or situation or text which pulls you to towards drawing.

As I get lot of what’s app or Facebook messages/pictures, I started building visuals around them. Slowly a character emerged which has been named “Rohan Baba”.

Here are a few of them for you to ponder. In case you like them or want a hard print of same, these are available as Bookmarks, 4”x6” or A4 size on 300gsm paper.
